This weekend, my husband and I finished putting up this Dali Decal in our baby nursery. I must say, it’s absolutely fabulous! I’m very pleased we were able to put up this cute design without using any paint. The decal is completely removable. I can’t remember how I stumbled upon Dali Decals, but once I browsed through their designs, I was in love!
So here’s how I would rate Dali Decals (on a 10 point scale) –
Availability and Variety – 10
They have TONS of designs in all shapes, sizes, and colors! Excellent selection!
Ease of Purchase/Customer Service – 10
I did not have any issues purchasing my decal. Fortunately, I did not have to directly deal with customer service, but they did provide great information on their site and in the purchase confirmation email. It did take a decent amount of time to receive my decal – It was roughly 2-3 weeks.
Ease of Installation/Quality – 7
They shipped the decal rolled up in three different pieces. My husband and I decided each piece was WAY too big for us to manage, so we cut our decal down into smaller pieces. That really helped us with the installation process. I have to say, it’s not terribly difficult, but it does take a bit of patience. The second layer you have to peel off of the decal is stuck on there really well, so it takes some force to get it off. At first we were afraid the application required exact precision and you couldn’t move it once it was stuck, but we quickly discovered you can move it, fix it, smooth out the bubbles, etc, which was great for us newbies! The vinyl will stretch a bit if you mess with it too much, but we didn’t have a problem.
VERY IMPORTANT – when you are choosing your decal, be mindful of the design you pick. As you can see from the photo, our decal had a lot of “swirls” and intricate details. Those components were definitely more difficult to apply, compared to the tree trunk and the leaves. In hindsight, I might have picked a design without these features to make application a bit easier.
Another thing to note - our walls have “knockdown” texture on them, so they are not completely smooth. The decal will still adhere to a textured wall. We do have a couple of spots that don’t want to stick real well, but they aren’t noticeable and I think you wouldn’t have these if you have smooth walls.

Overall, we love our decal and would recommend Dali Decals to anyone in search of creative accents for the home!

WOW! That looks great. What a lovely design for your nursery. I've gotta check it out. We have a 3 month old and we are still working on her nursery. We had quite a bit of remodeling to do and since my husband is a civil engineer, his busy time is in the summer. We didn't get to work on fixing Kara's room till winter time. I just love your blog. Thanks for the great posts!
Aubrie - Thanks for the compliments! Our nursery will be a work in progress as well. I will probably add more things to it after the baby is born as well. We opted not to find out the sex, so there are a few things I'm holding off on. I'd like to put the baby's name above the crib in those cute letters. I'd also like to add "girly" touches to the room if we have a girl. Those will have to wait til after baby arrives!
I love it!! Just so you know...I can do a LOT of that kind of stuff with my cricut...for FREE. So if you would like to get together I would love to help decorate!!
Christina - That is awesome! You have all sorts of fun toys :-) We definitely need to get together. You'll have to come see the nursery and give me your creative suggestions!
I really like that tree decal. That is super cute!

That looks really nice.. My teen wants to decorate her room this summer and I told her I didn't want her to use paint. This would be really nice. Do they have horse designs?

Hey Marcie...Thanks so much for the great review! The tree looks great!
I think your review is dead on. The only thing I would disagree with is grouping ease of installation with quality, as we use the highest quality supplies available. Although you never had to contact us, our customer service is top notch!
Did you checkout the installation video on our website? It shows the "hinge" installation method, which is ideal for installing large pieces. You should have also received instructions with pictures on how to install the decal using the hinge method.
I'm going to send you a $25 gift certificate as our way of saying thanks for the review. As for all the great comments...here's a coupon code for 10% off for the first five people to use it. Use "mb310" when you checkout.
Debbie: Here's a link to our horse. It's actually one of my favorites. http://dalidecals.com/Running-Horse-with-Tribal-Swirls-Wall-Decal-Sticker-Graphic.html
